Matilda International Hospital introduces Maternity Special Packages – Outbreak Response 2022
Ladies due to giving birth in a public hospital can now enjoy Matilda International Hospital’s Maternity Special Packages – Outbreak Response 2022 to receive more support from the maternity team and their partner. The special packages apply to standard rooms and are valid till 30 April 2022.
The packages comprise nursing care, room, meal charges and treatment normally associated with the delivery type as well as the fees of the designated doctors. The special package for two night’s normal delivery is $59,350 whilst a 4 night’s elective Caesarean package is $96,550.
Matilda’s high level of personalised care remains the same while there is a difference in meals and amenities.
In 2019 and 2020, Hong Kong recorded 52,856 births and 43,031 births respectively according to the census and statistics department. The number of births from mid-2020 to mid-2021was 38,500.
Linda Burgoyne, CEO of Matilda International Hospital said, “With the emerging fifth wave of the pandemic, we understand that some expectant parents may feel more stressed, therefore we relaunched this package for the public hospital patients, affording them an additional option.
“Around 100 ladies joined our special maternity packages – outbreak response in 2020 when the coronavirus first hit Hong Kong. Many mothers told us that they felt reassured after they secured a booking with us as they feel safe away from the crowds but still easily accessible to the city centre. They were also reassured by the stringent infection control measures at the hospital.”
Ladies who want to use this special package need to have access to previous antenatal records. A routine antenatal check-up is pre-requisite with a designated obstetrician and is charged at $1,980 per visit which includes a routine check-up by an obstetrician, urinalysis and ultrasound scan.

The special package is at the reduction of 10% of current rates. Special rates for epidural and induction of labour also apply.
