Applying From Overseas
We welcome applicants from overseas with open arms. We are a highly diversified organisation where professionals of various disciplines work together to meet integrated performance goals built around our vision.
Employment Contracts and Accommodation
- Contracts are usually for one or two years. These may be renewed upon a satisfactory performance evaluation.
- Matilda heavily subsidises the accommodation rent and includes all utilities.
- Applicable employees may choose to live off-site.
- An on-site dining room with chef-inspired meals is offered at a discounted staff rate.
Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF)
Employers and employees in Hong Kong are obligated to jointly make monthly contributions to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme, which is similar to a pension or retirement fund. The contributions can be retrieved at the retirement age specified by the MPF Authority. Exemptions may apply for specific categories of applicable overseas employees.
Salary Taxes in Hong Kong
The income tax rate in Hong Kong is low, with a ceiling rate of 17%. It is the employee’s responsibility to report and pay taxes on a yearly basis.
