Procurement Officer

Job Description

  • Responsible for purchasing activities of hospital, including sourcing, price negotiation, daily ordering and deliveries for medical consumables, non-medical items and annual contracts;
  • Prepare documentation of relevant purchasing activities such as RFQ, price comparisons, technical assessment and product complaints;
  • Develop and maintain e-procurement system;
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and stock take to ensure accurate inventory records;
  • Collaborating with all stakeholders to understand their requirements;
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with statutory / contractual agreements and quality standards;
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned by Procurement Manager

Requirements

  • Cert. or above in Procurement/Purchasing or similar discipline;
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in procurement process;
  • Ability to establish priorities and to plan, manage conflicting priorities and work under pressure;
  • Strong knowledge in sourcing and inventory control;
  • Experience in healthcare industry / hospital;
  • Good communication and negotiation skills;
  • Good spoken and written Chinese and English;
  • Proficiency in PC application including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing
