Matilda International Hospital Recognized as a  ‘Mental Health Friendly Supreme Organization’

Matilda International Hospital is proud to announce that we have been formally recognised as a  "Mental Health Friendly Supreme Organization." by the Advisory Committee on Mental Health in Hong Kong. This award highlights Matilda’s commitment to promoting mental health awareness, fostering a supportive work environment, and prioritizing the well-being of its employees.

Mental health is a critical aspect of overall well-being, and Matilda International Hospital has taken significant steps to prioritize mental health initiatives within its workforce. Through various programs, training, and resources, the organization has created a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages open conversations about mental health. By implementing policies that prioritize mental health, Matilda International Hospital has demonstrated its dedication to the well-being of its employees.

"We are honored to receive the ‘’Mental Health Friendly Supreme Organization’’ award," said Linda Burgoyne, CEO of Matilda International Hospital. "This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to ensure the overall well-being of our employees and creating a supportive workplace culture. We firmly believe that a healthy workforce leads to increased job satisfaction, and overall organizational success."

Matilda International Hospital understands the importance of mental health advocacy not only within its organization but also in the wider community. The award serves as motivation to continue championing mental health awareness and promoting well-being for all. By sharing best practices and collaborating with other organizations and specialists, Matilda aims to inspire positive change and create a ripple effect that extends beyond its immediate sphere.

This recognition comes as a result of our commitment to the ‘Mental Health Workplace Charter’, jointly endorsed by the Department of Health, the Labour Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Council. Organizations committed to the Charter must be able to fulfill a minimum number of actions in the mental health objectives which include the promotion of mental well-being at the workplace and  the creation of an inclusive and friendly workplace environment for colleagues with mental distress.
