Procurement Officer
Job Description
- Responsible for purchasing activities of hospital, including sourcing, price negotiation, daily ordering and deliveries for medical consumables, non-medical items and annual contracts;
- Prepare documentation of relevant purchasing activities such as RFQ, price comparisons, technical assessment and product complaints;
- Develop and maintain e-procurement system;
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and stock take to ensure accurate inventory records;
- Collaborating with all stakeholders to understand their requirements;
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with statutory / contractual agreements and quality standards;
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned by Procurement Manager
Requirements
- Cert. or above in Procurement/Purchasing or similar discipline;
- Minimum 5 years working experience in procurement process;
- Ability to establish priorities and to plan, manage conflicting priorities and work under pressure;
- Strong knowledge in sourcing and inventory control;
- Experience in healthcare industry / hospital;
- Good communication and negotiation skills;
- Good spoken and written Chinese and English;
- Proficiency in PC application including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing
