Insurance Information

Matilda International Hospital collaborates with most insurance companies in Hong Kong and many international insurers. Here are some important guidelines for patients using insurance:

Direct Billing

Available only if an agreement exists between Matilda International Hospital and the insurer. Contact the Patient Service Centre at psc@matilda.org to confirm.

Planned Admissions

The Insurers will issue a letter of guarantee. You can verify its receipt with the hospital via psc@matilda.org.

Coverage Clarification

Confirm coverage details with your insurer before admission, as it may affect room category choices. Information can be obtained from your employer, broker, or insurer's contact methods on the membership card.

Co-insurance Plans

Patients are responsible for deductibles or charges outside coverage.

Emergency Admissions

Notify your insurer during the hospital stay. Your insurer will then contact Matilda International Hospital regarding your coverage. Please note that Matilda International Hospital will not handle claims post-discharge.

Documentation

Proper documentation is required. If you cannot provide the necessary documents, you will be fully responsible for payment and may need to pay a deposit. If documentation is still unavailable at discharge, you must settle the full hospital expenses and contact your insurer for reimbursement.

Insurance Card/Documentation

Matilda International Hospital reserves the right to refuse these as payment methods.
